DESIGN

What kind of images can I print with Printing Fabrics?

1. Own designs

- If you are a designer, you can scan your works with the highest possible resolution.

- If you design using a computer or tablet, you can send your designs directly in PDF, JPG or PNG format recommended.

- If your design is to be stamped on a garment of colour, you have to send the image in PNG without bottom, otherwise the white background of the design would be painted.

2. Internet images.

Not all internet images can be used without permission. Make sure they are free of duty, or acquire the rights of the same to be able to use it. If the rights of this one are expired, in some cases the images can be used for personal use, but not commercial.

3. Pictures of the designers of our web SmallWhims

- You have available in our platform, endless designs available to stamp only on our products, both for personal and professional use.

HOW BIG CAN I PRINT AN IMAGE?

For an image not to be pixelated during printing, it has to have a minimum of resolution.

- When you create a layout using an editor, it has to have a minimum of 120 pixels per square centimetre of print and so on. You only have to multiply the square centimetres by the number of pixels and you will get the correct proportion.

1 cm = 29 pixels

10 cm = 284 pixels

20 cm = 567 pixels

1m = 2835 pixels

When you create a repeating pattern design, it will have the dimensions that you have defined.

You decide the size of the design and we will repeat it as many times as it fits in the width of the fabric.

Also when you upload your design you must select if it is a fixed design or if it is a repeat pattern and also the material you want to be available for the stamping

Image shows.

- If the image instead of being a design is a photograph taken with a camera or downloaded from the internet, it also has to have a minimum quality.

3.5 Megapixels 10cm and so proportionally.

- And the same thing happens with the scanning of images. If you want to print about 50 centimetres you have to scan at 300dpi, if you want to print a square meter, you have to scan at 600dpi.

WHAT TYPES OF IMAGES CAN I UP?

We only accept PNG formats for t-shirts and sweatshirts. These images can not contain background, since otherwise it would be printed on the garments.

We accept both JPG and PNG formats for all other materials.

You can send us TIF formats only for wallpaper and vinyl, when the image is fixed and large print size. If this has more than 40 MB contact us and we will tell you how to send us a we transfer with it.

We do not accept other formats to avoid differences in tones, layers, backgrounds and fonts in the designs

HOW MY DESIGNS ARE REPEATED?

When you upload an image that you want to repeat over the material instead of remaining static, you have several possibilities for repetition:

No repetition: Centred still image.

Standard Repeat: One image will be repeated next to the other in exactly the same position.

Half-step repeat: The image is scrolled vertically half-step.

Mirror repeat: The image is completely reversed.

WHAT COLORS ARE GOING OUT OF MY IMAGES?

We work with print programs that try to adjust the tone as much as possible to reality, yet each material has a different composition and finish that will influence how your image will look printed. The same pigment reacts differently depending on the printing medium.

In the case of wall paper and foils, the colours are quite accurate compared to what you can see on the screen. On the watercolour paper the tones come out matte and on the glossy foil paper, the same is true for the wallpaper with respect to the vinyl although the latter is also matte finish.

The printing on polyester fabrics produces bright and vivid tones, while in the printing on cotton fabrics the tones look a little duller than in reality.

If you are going to stamp cotton fabrics and want your colours to look more we recommend you increase the colour a little bit.

If you are a designer and want to get an exact color, we recommend that you buy a pantone printed on the fabric you want. Using the pantone colors on your screen you can get the color you want.

For Printing Fabrics, the satisfaction of our customers is the most important, yet each order is stamped exclusively for each customer. This implies that we can’t resell a product to another person, we don’t work with stock of materials already stamped.

Make sure when ordering that the sizes are correct or that the material you have ordered is the one you need.

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY ORDER?

The time it takes to print an order varies depending on the volume of orders we have at any time and the item. Normally they oscillate between 7 - 15 days.

To this must be added the shipping times for Europe of 3-4 days, Spain 24h.

HOW I SHOULD WASH PRINTED TISSUES ?

Each fabric is different, but we always recommend washing in cold water, short cycles and without bleach.

Washing the garment inside out will always last longer.

The use of the dryer is not advised since it allows the colours to fade.
